How to create a public author page for all your books
A public author page gives readers one place to find your books, biography and links. KDPBook Link Pro includes one site at handle.kdpbook.link, with six distinct themes and eighteen palettes. You can publish books sold on Amazon, other retailers or your own shop without needing an ASIN.

What you need before you start
Sign in with a verified email and active Pro access. Pro is US$9/month or US$90/year, billed automatically until canceled. New accounts receive a complimentary month with no card required and no automatic charge.
Have your public name or pen name, a short introduction and the retailer URLs you want readers to use. A portrait, hero image and book covers are optional. Every theme includes a designed fallback for missing imagery.
Set up and publish your page
You can complete setup on desktop or mobile. The studio saves a private draft and shows the same presentation used by your public page.
- Choose a design. Open Author page in your dashboard. Choose a theme and palette, then adjust typography, covers and section order in the live desktop or mobile preview.
- Add your books and story. Import books or Amazon short links from your library, or add a book manually. Add retailer destinations, your introduction, biography, images and any optional pages.
- Claim your address and publish. Choose an available handle of 3 to 40 lowercase letters, numbers or single internal hyphens. Review your page, publish it and share your handle.kdpbook.link address.
Choose a theme by layout, then make it yours
Editorial has an asymmetric literary introduction. Bookshelf puts covers and series first. Nocturne gives a featured release a dark cinematic stage. Botanical uses organic shapes and a warm welcome. Chromatic uses bold blocks and large sans-serif type. Folio pairs a quiet identity column with book-list rows.
Each theme has three palettes. Adjust type, cover size and visibility, spacing, button shape, imagery and section order. Preview both desktop and mobile. Switching themes keeps your books and text, remembers appearance settings for each design, and lets you undo or reset appearance without deleting content.
Add Amazon and non-Amazon destinations
Import a workspace book or an owned Amazon short link, or add a book manually. Give each destination a clear retailer label, an optional format and an HTTPS URL. You can add multiple destinations per book and choose a primary one.
An owned Amazon free short link keeps its regional routing. Links to other retailers, libraries, publishers, audiobook platforms and independent shops follow the exact URL you provide. They do not gain automatic country routing, availability checks or purchase tracking.
Choose your handle and optional pages
Your handle must be available and contain 3 to 40 lowercase letters, numbers or single internal hyphens. It cannot begin or end with a hyphen. Service names are reserved. Your public display name can use international characters independently of the handle.
Display your biography and general links on the home page or as separate pages. You can also add up to five custom text pages. Hidden and empty optional sections do not clutter the published site. After publication, handle changes are limited to once every thirty days; previous handles stay reserved and redirect to the current one while your page serves.
Keep drafts private and publish deliberately
Preview your page and check every destination before publishing. Editing afterward updates the private draft while readers keep seeing the last publication. Publish again when you are ready to show the changes.
You can restore the previous publication, which also replaces the draft, or unpublish your page. Updating a workspace book does not silently change the public copy. Refresh imported details explicitly and publish to share the revision.
Understand what happens when Pro ends
Public serving pauses when Pro expires, including after the complimentary period. Your page, content and handle remain saved. Renewal restores the last publication unless you explicitly unpublished the page. You can still read, export or unpublish preserved content after expiry.
Your free short links and their QR codes continue working independently of the author page. Page requests and outbound clicks are separate from Amazon redirect analytics and do not measure unique readers or sales.
